GearJoT ("GearJoT," "we," "our," or "us") provides a configurable workspace for equipment-driven businesses, covering inspections, asset management, issues and resolution, workflows, and related operations tooling. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you visit our website, request a demo or trial, or use the GearJoT platform.

Account and contact information. When you book a demo, start a trial, contact sales, or create an account, we collect information you provide such as your name, work email address, company name, phone number, and the details of your request.

Customer workspace data. When your organization uses GearJoT, it uploads or generates operational records such as equipment and asset details, inspection results, issues, tasks, work history, locations, photos, documents, and team member information. Your organization controls this data; we process it to operate the service on your behalf.

Usage and device information. We automatically collect technical information when you use our website and platform, including IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, actions taken in the product, and approximate timing. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics and PostHog.

We use the information we collect to provide and operate the GearJoT platform; respond to demo, trial, sales, and support requests; secure and troubleshoot the service; understand how the website and product are used so we can improve them; send service communications about your account; and comply with legal obligations.

We may send product news or marketing communications to business contacts who have engaged with us. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time using the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting us.

Equipment, inspection, and operations data your organization stores in GearJoT belongs to your organization. We do not sell it, use it to advertise to third parties, or share it with other customers. We access customer workspace data only to operate, secure, and support the service, or when your organization asks us to.

We share information with service providers that help us run GearJoT, such as cloud hosting and content delivery (Cloudflare), managed databases (Neon), content management (Sanity), transactional email delivery (Resend), customer relationship management (Attio), and analytics (Google Analytics, PostHog). These providers process information under agreements that limit their use of it to providing services to us.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the rights, safety, or property of GearJoT, our customers, or others, or as part of a corporate transaction such as a merger or acquisition. We do not sell personal information.

We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and isolation between customer workspaces. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal and accounting requirements, and resolve disputes. Customer workspace data is retained for the life of the customer relationship and deleted or returned in line with the customer agreement after termination.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights by contacting us at hello@gearjot.com. If your information lives in a customer workspace, we may direct your request to that customer, who controls the workspace.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Opting out of analytics cookies does not affect the core operation of the platform.

GearJoT is operated from the United States and information is processed on infrastructure in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the service you understand your information may be processed outside your home country.

Our website and platform are designed for business use and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify customers through the product or by email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
